Basketball Recap: Kaiden Carpenter and Kole Riedy Secure Win for Rural Vista [Hope/White City]

Rural Vista [Hope/White City] entered their tilt with Marion on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took down the Marion Warriors 56-41. For the Heat, this counts as revenge for the 58-36 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Leading Rural Vista [Hope/White City] to victory were Kole Riedy and Kaiden Carpenter. Riedy went 7 for 12 en route to 18 points and four steals, while Carpenter went 5 of 7 on his way to 13 points and three steals. Those 18 points gave Riedy a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathen Traynor, who posted seven points and seven rebounds.

Rural Vista [Hope/White City]'s victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Marion, they moved to 5-7 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
