James F. Byrnes won the last time they faced Gaffney and things went their way on Friday too. James F. Byrnes put the hurt on Gaffney with a sharp 9-1 victory. Considering the Rebels have won five games by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

James F. Byrnes pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Gaffney, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. James F. Byrnes will face off against rival Wade Hampton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Gaffney is set to challenge their familiar foe Dorman at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
