Softball Recap: Baldwin County Has No Trouble Against Bryant

Baldwin County made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bryant, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Hurricanes on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Brooke McGowin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lauren Jerkins, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Baldwin County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in six consecutive matchups.

Baldwin County's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Bryant, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-13.

Baldwin County has already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Auburn on the 28th. As for Bryant, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Spanish Fort on the 28th.
