The Saint Andrew's Scots won the last time they faced the NSU University Sharks, and things went their way on Thursday too. Saint Andrew's strolled past NSU University with points to spare, taking the game 54-35.
Delaney Beighley was her usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with three steals. Emma Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Saint Andrew's has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for NSU University, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saint Andrew's will face off against Boca Raton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Boca Raton presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Saint Andrew's in Florida (Boca Raton is ranked 26th, while Saint Andrew's is ranked 236th). As for NSU University, they will head out on the road to challenge Nova at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Nova has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 318 points over their last five matchups.
