The Southwest Eagles will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on TERRA Environmental at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Southwest is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They came up short against Miami last Monday, falling 23-13.

Mia Acosta made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and two stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Summer Garcia, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, TERRA Environmental waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rams a 15-0 shutout. That looming 15-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for TERRA Environmental yet this season.
Melissa Hernandez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Hernandez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
In other batting news, TERRA Environmental got a massive performance out of Sophia Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Nicole Camji was another key player, going 1-for-2 with five stolen bases and two runs.
TERRA Environmental kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits in three consecutive contests.
Southwest got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against TERRA Environmental by a conclusive 9-2 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do TERRA Environmental have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
