Dulaney has gone 8-2 against Perry Hall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will take on the Gators at 4:00 p.m. Dulaney is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Dulaney is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering John Carroll just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 12-6 to the Patriots.
Gabe Darraj was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Rich, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Perry Hall). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Woodlawn a 13-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Gators as they're now sitting on three straight.
Jake Benner was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those runs marked the first that he has scored this season. Another player making a difference was Brooks Barcikowski, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Perry Hall was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Perry Hall's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Dulaney, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Perry Hall's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dulaney hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .328. It's a different story for Perry Hall, though, as they've only averaged .227. Will they be able to contain Dulaney's hitters?
Dulaney was able to grind out a solid victory over Perry Hall when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 5-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
