The Lakota East Thunderhawks stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sycamore 56-19 on the road. Given Lakota East's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Aviators are ranked 375th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lakota East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Katlyn Pham, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Celina Blount, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Lakota East is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Sycamore, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lakota East will take on the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
