D'Iberville was sadly handed a defeat on Tuesday, but Emma Franklin did her best to prevent it. Franklin made a splash, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). Considering she played a big game the last time she faced off against Harrison Central back in March of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Franklin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.
