Voyager put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 84-47 win over Oxford Prep. Voyager pushed the score to 60-39 by the end of the third, a deficit the Griffins had little chance of recovering from.
The match pitted two dominant players against one another in Dwight Anderson and AleYaun Heggie. Anderson had a great game and dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. Meanwhile, Heggie did his best for the losing side, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Roxboro Community's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 71-49 walloping at the hands of Vance Charter.
Voyager is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Roxboro Community, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.
