Sheboygan South hasn't had much luck against Pulaski recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Redwings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Red Raiders at 4:00 p.m. Sheboygan South has given up an average of 18.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Sheboygan South is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 39th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They came up short against Bay Port, falling 20-0.
Meanwhile, Pulaski had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They never let the Golden Raiders get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won six matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.
Addison Luebke made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Pulaski let Molly Molthen and Paige Abendroth run wild. Molthen got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Abendroth got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Alayna Reinhard, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
Pulaski always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2024.
Pulaski's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sheboygan South, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.
Sheboygan South might still be hurting after the 20-0 loss they got from Pulaski in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Redwings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
