The Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs will head out on the road to challenge the Circleville Tigers at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bloom-Carroll has 13 straight victories, Circleville has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Bloom-Carroll saw some tournament action on Saturday. They put the hurt on Tippecanoe with a sharp 13-3 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by nine runs or more this season.
Maddi Walters tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Madelyn Gates was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Jaiden Sharrow also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Bloom-Carroll was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .306 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Circleville started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Unioto. They fell just short of the Shermans by a score of 7-6 on Friday.
Claire Davis was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Kayla Fleck was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one run.
Bloom-Carroll pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Circleville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Circleville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Bloom-Carroll has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .509. It's a different story for Circleville, though, as they've only averaged .281. Will they be able to contain Bloom-Carroll's hitters?
Everything went Bloom-Carroll's way against Circleville in their previous matchup on April 2nd, as Bloom-Carroll made off with a 12-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
