The Dublin Scioto Irish's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 28-7 loss at the hands of Westerville North. While losing is never fun, Dublin Scioto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 361st, while Westerville North is ranked 118th).
It was another big night for Ronald Jackson, who rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 149 yards and a touchdown.
Westerville North's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. The heavy lifting was done by Brian Robinson and Braylon Nowlin who racked up four sacks between them.
Dublin Scioto's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Westerville North, Hayes, and Canal Winchester. As for Westerville North, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Dublin Scioto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Westerville North will look to defend their home field on Friday against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m.
