Shrine Catholic came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Cardinal Mooney Catholic Cardinals with a sharp 16-1 win. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Jenna Ruhle and Samantha Swaneck did most of the damage at the plate: Ruhle went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base, while Swaneck scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Ruhle is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Kate Zboril was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Shrine Catholic was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Shrine Catholic's record now sits at 6-1. As for Cardinal Mooney Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
