 Despite the  defeat, Standley Lake saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Sophia Lambrecht-Gardner  had 15  assists and 13  digs. Those 13  digs set a new season-high mark for  Lambrecht-Gardner.
 Meanwhile, Conifer got the win against Doral Academy Red Rock  on Saturday by a conclusive  3-0. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Lobos.
 Standley Lake's  loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 17-3. As for Conifer, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
 Standley Lake was able to grind out a solid  win over Conifer when the teams last played  on October 6th, winning  3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the  team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
