After a string of three wins, the Hesston Swathers's good fortune finally ran out  on Saturday. They took a   42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holcomb. Hesston was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Holcomb apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in January of 2021.
 Several Swathers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Reed Friesen, who  scored 13 points along with seven  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jackson Fry, who  scored ten points along with three  steals.
 Hesston's loss  ended a 12-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-2. As for Holcomb, their win was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 9-4.
 Hesston and Pratt will face off  on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Holcomb, Holcomb and Colby will face off  at 7:30  p.m.  on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Kansas (Colby is ranked 64th, while Holcomb is ranked 72nd).
