MOULTON, Ala. - the Tigers scored 28 points in the first quarter to secure a big 38-7 victory over Lawrence County (Moulton, Ala.) on Saturday.
Hartselle scored on a touchdown run by
D'andre Mack, a touchdown catch by
Jaylan Jackson, a touchdown catch by Mack and a
Masio Stover touchdown run in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Mack in the first quarter, HHS led 35-0 at the half.
The Tigers raced to 28 in the first quarter alone and never looked back.
Lawrence County's only touchdown came on a 44-yard pass in the third quarter.
The defeat comes as a step back for Lawrence County, who notched a 40-26 victory over East Lawrence in its previous outing.
In a 5A Region 8 game next week Lawrence County (1-1) takes on Muscle Shoals, and Hartselle (2-0) will go up against Athens also in a 5A Region 8 game.
