The Eagle's View Warriors and the West Nassau Warriors will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eagle's View has 11 straight wins, West Nassau has 22 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Eagle's View put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past First Coast Christian, posting a 63-29 victory at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Eagle's View has posted since December 14, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Eagle's View to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marcus Carter, who scored 14 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Williams, who scored 17 points.
West Nassau suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Saturday. They were outmatched by St. Johns Country Day at home and fell 81-51. While losing is never fun, West Nassau can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 775th, while St. Johns Country Day is ranked 343rd).
Eagle's View pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for West Nassau, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.
Eagle's View took a serious blow against West Nassau when the teams last played back in February of 2018, falling 50-12. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Eagle's View was down 29-7.
