Last Thursday, LaMoure/Litchville-Marion took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 57-30 win over the Mustangs.
Meanwhile, Oakes came tearing into Monday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-58 victory over Richland.
It was another big night for Lily Thorpe, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Molly Sitzler was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
LaMoure/Litchville-Marion has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for Oakes, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Things could have been worse for LaMoure/Litchville-Marion, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-40 loss to the Tornadoes in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for LaMoure/Litchville-Marion, Laikyn Roney (who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds) won't be suiting up this time.
