The Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 50-43 to Boiling Springs. While losing is never fun, Steelton-Highspire can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 434th, while Boiling Springs is ranked 210th).
Leading Boiling Springs to victory were Brayden Richie and Brandon Ascione. Richie scored 14 points, while Ascione scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Riley Lucido, who scored six points.
Steelton-Highspire dropped their record down to 7-14 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Boiling Springs, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-6.
Steelton-Highspire does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boiling Springs, they will head out on the road to square off against Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Middletown will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Boiling Springs surely won't give up without a fight.
