The Revere Minutemen's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 56-37 bruising from Copley. While losing is never fun, Revere can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 370th, while Copley is ranked 12th).
Izzy Callaway was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points for Copley. Those 29 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kami Ayoup, who scored 15 points.
Revere bumped their record down to 2-5 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Copley, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Revere will square off against Hudson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Copley, they will head out on the road to face off against Solon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Solon is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
