Muhlenberg County extended their winning streak to four on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 8-12 in the process. They never let the McLean County Cougars get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 on Monday.

Zoey Frodge made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Abry Carver and Ava Carver did most of the damage at the plate: Abry went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Ava went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jaycee Noffsinger, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Muhlenberg County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as McLean County only posted an OBP of .294.
As for McLean County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
On McLean County's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava McCarty, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Leah Searcy also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Muhlenberg County and McLean County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings. The Mustangs will square off against Warren East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (104 vs. 21). Meanwhile, McLean County (ranked 200th) will meet Hancock County (ranked 79th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
