They weren't the only good server: Douglas County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, ThunderRidge earned a 2-0 victory over Overland on Saturday.
ThunderRidge's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Douglas County, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Douglas County has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 15.3 aces per game. However, it's not like ThunderRidge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Douglas County came out on top in a nail-biter against ThunderRidge in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
