Grady Schmidt Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Huntley Project was led to victory by Grady Schmidt, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Schmidt rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (113.4). That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August of 2023.
Schmidt and Huntley Project will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Joliet at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. The match will pit Schmidt up against the J Hawks' star RB Jake Cook. Will the game be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.

Shepherd was sadly handed a defeat on Friday, but Wyatt Beddes did his best to prevent it. Huntley Project had no answer to Beddes as he rushed for 13 yards.
Shepherd dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. Beddes and Shepherd will take on Baker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Connor Wilson Makes It Two for Shepherd
