After a string of three wins, New Life Camp's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the GRACE Christian Eagles by a score of 10-9. The Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
Seth Massie and Ethan Windley did some serious damage despite the final result: Massie went 3-for-4 with two runs, while Windley went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Cole Corso also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
New Life Camp's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for GRACE Christian, they moved to 4-11 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Coming up, New Life Camp will square off against Chatham HomeSchool at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm are facing the Thunder at the right time seeing as the Thunder are stuck on a three-game losing streak. GRACE Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
