On Tuesday, the Southern Alamance Patriots's game was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They escaped with a win against Cedar Ridge by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. The win made it back-to-back wins for Southern Alamance.
Southern Alamance's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Isley, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sunny Yarnell, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.
Cedar Ridge's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Amiyah Ware, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Sarah Utley who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Utley has scored all season.
Southern Alamance's win bumped their record up to 9-11. As for Cedar Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
Southern Alamance will stay at home for another game and welcome the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Person is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak. Cedar Ridge will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Orange focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Tuesday.
