The Mt. Clemens Battling Bathers won the last time they faced the University Prep Science & Math Cobra, and things went their way on Friday too. Mt. Clemens managed a 40-36 win over University Prep Science & Math.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mt. Clemens to victory, but perhaps none more so than Leah Williams, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 19 rebounds. Those 19 rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Alasia Price, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Mt. Clemens' win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for University Prep Science & Math, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
After both having extra time off, Mt. Clemens and Rose Leadership Academy will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. University Prep Science & Math will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln-King Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Lincoln-King Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
