Forge Christian didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with six strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westminster only tossed two.
Meanwhile, Arvada won against Englewood on Saturday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. Arvada won by a run and slipped past Middle Park 14-13. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.
Alyssa Moreno was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off eight RBI, two triples, and two triples while going 4-for-5.
In other batting news, Amiah Picaso was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
