Odin/Patoka suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were the victim of a tough 62-42 loss at the hands of Waltonville. While losing is never fun, Odin/Patoka can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 619th, while Waltonville is ranked 164th).
Waltonville was led to victory by Gage Peterson and Kyle Cooper. Peterson scored 19 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Cooper scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and eight assists. That's the first time this season that Cooper posted eight or more assists. Seth Karnes was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Odin/Patoka bumped their record down to 3-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Waltonville, their victory bumped their record up to 15-3.
Odin/Patoka will head out on the road to challenge Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Waltonville, they will square off against Woodlawn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
