Wenonah extended their road winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Samarian Franklin. The Wenonah Dragons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-57 win over the Hueytown Golden Gophers on Tuesday thanks in part to Franklin, who went 13 for 23 on her way to 31 points and five assists. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points.
The team also got some help courtesy of Aariyanah Parker, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards gave her a new career-high.
Wenonah's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Hueytown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.
