The Winchester Community Falcons will face off against the Richmond Red Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Winchester Community sitting on four straight wins and Richmond on three.
If Winchester Community beats Richmond with 11 runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Falcons blew past Centerville 11-1 on Monday. Considering the Falcons have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Landen Porfidio and McCormac Anderson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Porfidio tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Meanwhile, Anderson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. At the plate, Porfidio went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base, while Anderson went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Porfidio is becoming a predictor of Winchester Community's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Aidan Weatherhead was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Weist, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Meanwhile, Richmond got themselves on the board against Mt. Vernon on Saturday, but Mt. Vernon never followed suit. They skirted past the Marauders 2-0.
The result came thanks to Zander Juday's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jay Burdette, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was J'Lyn Lewis, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Winchester Community's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Richmond, their win bumped their record up to 10-6.
