Doctors Charter took a hard 66-48 fall against Mater Academy Charter on Friday. While losing is never fun, Doctors Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while Mater Academy Charter is ranked 309th).
It was another big night for Solomon Leinbock, who scored 27 points for Mater Academy Charter. That makes it three consecutive games in which Leinbock has scored at least a third of Mater Academy Charter's points. Ethan Davis was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine assists and four steals.
Doctors Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mater Academy Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 12-8.
Doctors Charter will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against iMater Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. As for Mater Academy Charter, they will play host again and welcome Somerset Prep, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Somerset Prep has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7.
