The Grapevine Mustangs will head out to challenge the Aledo Bearcats at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Aledo took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Grapevine, who comes in off a win.
Grapevine lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Trinity, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's game. The Mustangs blew past the Trojans 11-3 on Friday. That eight-run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

Josie Jones made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had over her last two contests. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those RBI were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Braylee Smart was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Graelyn Lindbloom was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Grapevine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Timber Creek hit Aledo with a six-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bearcats fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-5. The Bearcats' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Kyleigh Pawlak was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Delaney Rosser, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
Aledo's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Grapevine, their record is now 6-9.
Aledo's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Grapevine hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322.
