South Sumter is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Leesburg, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
Leesburg's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Sumter has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. It's a different story for Leesburg, though, as they've only averaged .345. Will they be able to contain South Sumter's hitters?
Everything went South Sumter's way against Leesburg in their previous meeting back in March, as South Sumter made off with a 13-6 victory. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellow Jackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
