Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshfield). They put the hurt on the North Bend Bulldogs with a sharp 18-11 win on Friday. Considering the Pirates have won four matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Marshfield has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.7 runs over those games. As for North Bend, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marshfield will venture away from home to face off against Ashland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for North Bend, they will head out on the road to challenge Marist at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
