Peninsula has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Timberline Blazers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Peninsula had to suffer through a rough 59-9 loss at the hands of Yelm. While losing is never fun, Peninsula can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 91st, while Yelm is ranked seventh).
Meanwhile, Timberline and Capital were almost perfectly matched up on Thursday, but Timberline suffered an agonizing 16-15 loss. Timberline has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Peninsula's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Timberline, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
Peninsula skirted past Timberline 24-21 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Does Peninsula have another victory up their sleeve, or will Timberline turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
