The Mustangs will host the Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Edgewood's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Orleans 10-0.
BRAYLIN BENTLEY made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. BENTLEY was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
In other batting news, ELLA SPROUL was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. LINDZEY RAINS was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Indian Creek made easy work of Perry Meridian on Thursday and carried off a 12-2 win. The Braves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Ma'Ryah Caul tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kristen Soots, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Delaney Jones, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Indian Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Perry Meridian only posted a batting average of .286.
Edgewood's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Indian Creek, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.
Edgewood beat Indian Creek 6-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Braves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
