The Kidder County Wolves will take on the Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Friday, Kidder County took their  contest  with ease, bagging  a  60-30 win over New Salem.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Mason Whitman and  Bryce Larson. Whitman rushed for 150 yards and three  TDs while picking up 7.9 yards per carry while  Larson gained 145 total yards and two touchdowns. What's more,  Larson racked up 99  rushing yards, the most he's  had since back in August.  Grady Larson got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Kidder County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. Larson picked up that interception and then proceeded to rub salt in the wound by taking it back the other way for a touchdown. He got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood entered their tilt with Towner-Granville-Upham on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Titans 50-14. The Mavericks pushed the score to  44-14 by the end of the third, a deficit the Titans had  little chance of recovering from.
Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's win came from a few key players Kidder County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Drayson Johnson, who threw for 188 yards and four  touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 53 yards.  Reyden Beck did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 125 receiving yards.
 Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Towner-Granville-Upham to a completion percentage of just 40%. The team can thank  Eli Undlin for the heroic effort on defense: he. Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.64 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.64 in their last three games.
 Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's defense didn't let  Fynn Livedalen, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess:  Werner Oosthuizen,  Reese Buynak,  and  Cale Westerness, who each picked up one  sack apiece.
 Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Kidder County, their win bumped their record up to an identical 7-2.
Friday's   game might be decided on the ground. Kidder County has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 257.8  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 160.1  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Everything came up roses for Kidder County against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood in their previous meeting  back in October of 2019, as the  squad secured  a  36-8 victory. In that  contest, the Wolves amassed a halftime lead of  28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat  on Friday.
