The Ocean Lakes Dolphins won the last time they faced the Granby Comets, and things went their way on Saturday too. Ocean Lakes walked away with a 48-38 win over the Comets.
Ocean Lakes found their leader in underclassman Samara Williams, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 23 rebounds. Williams is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 17 or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasymn Miller, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Ocean Lakes' victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13. As for Granby, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ocean Lakes will take on the Commodores at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Granby, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Mighty Bookers at 4:00 p.m. on February 7th. Booker T. Washington has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 14.
