The Estill County Engineers will venture away from home to take on the Bryan Station Defenders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Estill County is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
On Friday, Estill County got the win against Southwestern by a conclusive 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Engineers, who have now won eight matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Bella Rice spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Estill County let Callee Snowden and Sydney Riddell run wild. Snowden went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Riddell went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Estill County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwestern struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Bryan Station faced Madison Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Defenders skirted past the Indians 3-2.
Bryan Station also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Karsyn Rockvoan gave up two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up 16 Ks.
On the hitting side, Tiahna Bowman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Olivia Greenberg also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Estill County pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Bryan Station, their record now sits at 9-4.
Estill County skirted past Bryan Station 6-4 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Engineers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
