Gervais took a serious blow against Gaston on Friday, falling 7-63. The state rankings had actually given Gervais a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
The defeat dropped Gervais' record to 0-2. The win got Gaston back to even at 1-1.
Gervais will look to defend their home turf next week against Culver at 7:00 PM. Gaston are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Neah-Kah-Nie at 7:00 PM.
