St. Cecilia Academy's tough 59-36 defeat to Christ Presbyterian Academy might stick with them for a while. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. Cecilia Academy in their matchups with Christ Presbyterian Academy: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the defeat, St. Cecilia Academy had strong showings from Mia Galassini, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds, and Gracen Mondelli, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Galassini hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Lynch, who scored eight points.
St. Cecilia Academy now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Cecilia Academy will take on Lipscomb Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lipscomb Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than St. Cecilia Academy in Tennessee (Lipscomb Academy is ranked 74th, while St. Cecilia Academy is ranked 296th). As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Harpeth Hall at 6:00 p.m. on January 6th.
