Vinemont is 2-8 against Hanceville since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Vinemont Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Hanceville Bulldogs at 5:45 p.m. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Vinemont has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 20 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 66-46 margin over Pennington. The victory was just what Vinemont needed coming off of a 81-35 defeat in their prior match.
Vinemont found their leader in underclassman Whitney Quick, who scored 14 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists. Quick hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Burks, who scored 11 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Hanceville can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Corner 44-19. The victory was just what Hanceville needed coming off of a 59-25 loss in their prior contest.
Good Hope's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Vinemont's defeat dropped theirs to 6-4.
Vinemont came up short against Hanceville when the teams last played back in January, falling 58-50. Can Vinemont avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
