On Thursday, Borger strolled past Socorro with points to spare, taking the game 48-34. The win made it back-to-back wins for Borger.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nataly Dominguez, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 steals. Dominguez has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Izabella Serda, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Borger's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Socorro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Sudan the next time they take the court. Socorro will head out to face Sudan at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Borger will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
