It was a good run, but the Jackson Timberwolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 54-53 to Glacier Peak. Jackson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Glacier Peak apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Despite the loss, Jackson still got an impressive performance from Trey Hawkins, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Hawkins' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Colby Cooke, who scored ten points.
Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Glacier Peak, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jackson will take on Mariner at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Mariner is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Glacier Peak, they will be playing at home against Lake Stevens at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
