After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Charles College Prep, Mansfield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the North Caddo Titans, posting a 39-0 win. The matchup marked the Wolverines' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Mansfield was led to victory by Terrell Pegues and Jaterrious Howard. Pegues rushed for 110 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Howard rushed for 141 yards on only 11 carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mansfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 385 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 159 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Another reason for the win was Mansfield's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Derrick Mitchell, Tramajah Carroll, and Levi Jackson, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Mansfield now has a winning record of 3-2. As for North Caddo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
