Sierra will go up against Rancho Cotate in continuing playoff action on Saturday. Averaging 41.75 points per matchup, the Sierra squad has been an offensive juggernaut in the playoffs, so hopefully Rancho Cotate's defense is prepared for a test.
Things were close when Sierra and Oakdale clashed last week, but the Timberwolves ultimately edged out the opposition 22-19. Kimoni Stanley had a stellar game for the Timberwolves as he picked up 143 yards on the ground on 17 carries and caught two passes for 67 yards. If you haven't heard Stanley's name lately, then you haven't been paying much attention: he has loomed large in Sierra's past four games.
Meanwhile, Rancho Cotate earned some more postseason success in their game last Friday. They were able to grind out a solid win over Las Lomas last week, winning 7 to nothing. The score was all tied up at the break nothing to nothing, but Rancho Cotate was the better team in the second half.
With both teams having displayed their playoff mettle, spectators can expect a high-quality contest. Keep track of this and all the high school football postseason action on MaxPreps.com.
