The Roosevelt Teddies won the last time they faced the Washburn Millers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Roosevelt came out on top against Washburn by a score of 47-36. Given Roosevelt's advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Washburn is ranked 258th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Olivia Wren, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. She also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Cady Davis was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Roosevelt has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. As for Washburn, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will face off against Richfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Washburn, they will head out on the road to face off against Mound-Westonka at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
