The West Noble Chargers will venture away from home to face off against the Churubusco Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
On Friday, West Noble humbled Lakeland with a 34-7 victory. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Chargers had established a 21-point advantage.
West Noble's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Trey Shisler, who rushed for 36 yards and one score, and also threw for 124 yards and one TD. A healthy portion of that aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Brayden Limerick, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

West Noble didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ethan Yates and Xavier Yates. Ethan has been hot, having also posted five or more total tackles the last six times he's played. Xavier got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Churubusco). They breezed past Central Noble to the tune of 62-3 on Friday. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana football rankings (they are ranked 124th, while the Cougars are ranked 267th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Churubusco's win came from a few key players West Noble will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Colt Singleton, who rushed for 65 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble, making seven total tackles, and defending one pass.
Churubusco was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 411 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
West Noble's record is now 6-1. As for Churubusco, their record now sits at 5-2.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. West Noble has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 152 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Churubusco struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 224 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for West Noble against Churubusco in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
