Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wilson Academy). They blew past the Seneca Bobcats 85-51 on Saturday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Wilson Academy with their most commanding win of the season.

When it comes to explaining why Seneca lost, don't look at Will Russell. Despite the final result, he shot 59% from the field en route to 21 points. Russell continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Chaz Moss, who posted seven points along with five boards and three steals.

The win made it two in a row for Wilson Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-5. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points over those games. As for Seneca, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Wilson Academy and Woodward Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Seneca will take on Westside in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 61.14 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
