Halifax Academy have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Four Corners at 7:00 PM. Halifax Academy are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Halifax Academy were able to grind out a solid win over St. Johns Country Day last Friday, winning 24-14. Senior Devaughn Broom was the offensive standout of the match for Halifax Academy, as he rushed for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns. In fact, with nine tackles Broom was a force on both sides of the ball.
Meanwhile, after a dominant victory in their game two weeks ago, Four Corners were humbled. They took a serious blow against West Oaks Academy, falling 0-46. Four Corners' low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the match before.
Halifax Academy's win lifted them to 3-3 while Four Corners's defeat dropped them down to 1-5. We'll see if Halifax Academy's success rolls on or if Four Corners are able to steal their positive momentum.
